SwimBrowser, a Kinect Hack to swim the web naturally

This Kinect Hack aims to control a web browser naturally through gestures. In fact, gestures used look quite intuitive (like swimming) and the interface is very fluid. Maybe for checking some news from the sofa?

Text input using gestures with this Kinect based interface

This Kinect hack includes mouse control on Windows 7 and, here is the new part, a fast text input capability just using gestures... of course this capability is dictionary based and seems to work properly. However, as it is cannot challenge the actual keyboard based input.

Really useful Kinect hack: Controlling your XBMC media player with Kinect

After years without real evolution in the way TV is controlled, it looks amazing that the change will be due to a gaming device. Just moving your hand to change a channel, choose or play a movie... looks like a more intuitive way to control a media center while sitting on the coach than one of these 1000 button controllers.

Amazing!

Surf the web like if you were in the world of Minority Report

In my opinion in, let's say two years, the human-computer interface will be completely different... and this is beginning right now. In this video we can see how gestures captured using the Kinect hack can be mapped to common actions, such as surfing the web. And the interactions look pretty fluid and intuitive...

awesome!
