Kinect driver hacked a couple of hours after its release

It all started when electronic company Adafruit Industries offered a $1,000 reward to the first person to build an open-source driver for Kinect. The reward was raised to $3,000 and awarded to Hector, a spanish guy who not even had an xBox.

It took just a couple of hours to have the Kinect hardware hacked. Now the specifications are publicly available and the community has an open driver to play around. Let's see what they can do.

Driver and more info: OpenKinect

Amazing!
